Arran Outdoor Centre is located shoreside in the Clauchlands area of the beautiful village of Lamlash.

This ancient village just south of Brodick is nestled in its own sheltered bay overlooking the Holy Isle. It has an impressive maritime history dating back to the Vikings.

The centre is large, contemporary and purpose built for residential outdoor activities, fitting perfectly into the countryside that surrounds it.

We have 44 beds in the centre across several 4 person bedrooms.

All of these rooms are en suite.

For those who need extra support, we have a dedicated dormitory with hoists and a multi position bed.

There is also a dedicated wet room down stairs in the changing room area to meet almost every need.

Please contact the centre if you’d like more information.

Public areas

After a long day of activities, you can sit down to delicious home cooked meals in our dining room, which has stunning views of Lamlash Bay.

For rest and relaxation, we have several public areas, including:

  • our library, which provides a quiet place for reflection with stunning views of Holy Isle
  • a bright conservatory with access to the centre grounds
  • our comfortable lounge

Changing and drying

We have two changing rooms, both of which are very spacious, with showering facilities and lockers.

There are two well equipped drying rooms at the centre, with rails to ensure you are able to dry any wet outdoor clothing.

We keep all our specialist outdoor equipment and clothing in our stores. To help make your stay with us affordable and memorable, all you need to bring is clothing you would normally play out in.

Conferencing, meetings and events

We can offer conference facilities for those wishing to utilise these.

For smaller meetings and learning environments, we can offer our chart room. This space can accommodate 12 people comfortably.

Each of our meeting rooms have connectivity access to monitors and wifi.

Our spacious bright classroom can also be used as a meeting or briefing venue.
