Night walks

Being out at night is a magical experience which offers you the opportunity to experience your nocturnal senses.

The group must work as a team and support each other, physically and mentally, whilst forging a trail through the darkness.

What’s involved?

You will be issued with a head torch to help you see the route ahead, but it’s always worth stopping and turning it off to experience the night’s sky, free from light pollution. If you’re lucky, you can see the stars, planets and even the Milky Way!

It’s a great opportunity to focus on just one of your senses and listen to the sounds of the night – from waterfalls to the wind and the trees creaking, as well as the odd child giggling!

We also see and hear wildlife whilst out at night, including bats, owls and red deer.

This activity is offered as part of an evening program after dinner, with an instructor leading the walk.
